Record - 2 - 6
In September of 1884 the St. Paul Saints (who were also known as the White Caps) had just finished a season in the minor Northwestern League when the Union Association called upon them to play the remaining games of the Pittsburgh Stogies. The Saints played a total of nine games in the U.A. (two wins, six losses, and one tie) to make them the shortest lived franchise in major league history, and all the games were played on the road, which makes the Saints the only big league club to never have played a home game.
When the season was over, the Union Association went out of business.
